creative play / small compositions

lately i’ve been trying to make more room for creative play again. no pressure to produce something meaningful. no strategy. just gathering ordinary objects, moving things around, following instinct, and seeing what comes of it.

playing around with this pinterest trend i saw lately. no plan, just fun. taking ordinary objects and making them pretty.

Moody flat lay of personal objects arranged in a silver tray on a rustic wooden surface, including sunglasses, a silver hand cream tube, gold scissors, a watch, candle, film memory card, and small glass bottle beside a handwritten “ciao” card.

these little compositions reminded me that creativity doesn’t always have to lead somewhere productive to still matter. sometimes it’s enough to simply make something because it feels good to do it.

do you make time for creative play?

Moody still life flat lay featuring a yellow Reto film camera, Ffern perfume bottle, tortoiseshell glasses, pearl earrings, and small objects arranged inside a vintage ornate frame over a New York Times newspaper.

it’s an exercise in not overthinking, if you’re an overthinker like me.

bonus pic of Bella, just because. ;)
